Are there any blind actors or actresses on the site?

Hi all!
I'm just curious, are there any people on here that like to act? I'd love to be in a musical..(Rent or wicked are my faves..)
I just think it would be really cool to perform on stage other than just singing or playing an instroment..So, has anyone acted before?
I've done it just for fun in front of friends..but that's it..I think it would be cool to do something like that.
I have heard of a place in London that does dramas performed by people that are blind. That'd be so fun!

I've done a little bit of acting and I've been in a couple of plays, no musicals though I did get to sing a bit. I've mostly had sitting roles with not much movement, jesticulation etc, since that it rather hard for me to do, I'm always afraid that if I move around too much, I'l fall off the stage.

When I was a teenager I was in several plays that my church put on. If I had a role where I had to move around a lot I just walked around the stage over and over again until I was used to where everything and everyone else on stage was. It was really a lot of fun.

Drum goddess that is so cool! :) I'd love to do something on stage..what roles did you play if you can remember?

I've done some amiture stuff in my area as well as loads of school plays.

however I'm fortunate enough not to be totally blind, so acting on a stage isn't so hard for me, especially since rehursing gets me well aquainted with the layout.

That's really cool! I'm totally blind myself..I'd love to do amature..It would be so fun!

I mostly played the role of a teenager pretty much. Most of the plays I did were with my youth group. 1 the whole church did a play for the community and that was a lot of fun. nnow my time is pretty filled up with drumming, but acting again would be a lot of fun. I really did enjoy it!

I was in Drama class all through HIgh School. I'd like to get back into that actually since I really enjoyed it.

I too was in Drama. My instructor didn't take me seriously though. I'm not sure if that was due to my abilities or my vision. I do have some vision, but apparently not enough.

These days my acting is restricted to any audio projects I've been working on. I'd love to get into voice acting one day though.
